How do we select our images for our album and book designs?
With our online galleries, couples are also able to mark their faves for their album and book designs. Additional requests can be added to the images.
What are the most popular sizes for photography albums and books?
The most popular sizes for photography albums and books are typically 8×8 inches, 10×10 inches, and 12×12 inches for square formats, and 8.5×11 inches or 11×14 inches for rectangular formats. Smaller sizes like 6×6 inches or larger ones like 16×20 inches are also available and make great presents for parents.
What materials are commonly used for album and book covers?
Common materials include leather (genuine or faux), linen, fabric, and hardcover options with custom photo wraps. Leather is popular for its durability and luxurious feel, while linen and fabric offer a softer, more modern aesthetic. Some providers also offer acrylic, wood, or metal covers for a unique, high-end look.
How many photos can fit into a photography album or book?
This depends on the size, layout, and number of pages. On average, a 20-page album (10 spreads) can fit 20–50 photos, depending on the design. Larger albums (40+ pages) can accommodate 100+ photos. We regularly adjust the amount of images in the design stage so that you can see exactly the options.
What’s the difference between a flush mount album and a press-printed book?
A flush-mount album features thick, rigid pages with photos mounted edge-to-edge, providing a seamless, high-quality look. These are typically more expensive and durable for example the Queensberry line. A press-printed book, on the other hand, uses thinner, flexible pages printed on high-quality paper, similar to a traditional book. Press-printed options are generally more affordable and lighter but less durable than flush-mount albums.
Can I customize the layout and design of my photography album or book
Yes, we provide customizable layouts, allowing you to choose the arrangement of photos, add text (e.g., captions or titles), and select background colors or patterns. As it is your keepsake, we want you to be 100 percent happy with the design and the results.
How long does it take to produce and deliver a photography album or book?
Production times vary but range from 7 to 21 business days for the actual printing, depending on the complexity of the design and the materials used. Delivery times depend on your location and shipping method, often adding another 2–7 business days. Rush options are sometimes available for an additional fee.
Can I order duplicates or reprints of my photography album or book?
Yes! We regularly create the very popular '1+2' offerings where you receive one larger book and two smaller, identical copies that you can give to the parents as keepsakes. Please note that these books are exact copies with the only difference being the sizes.
How long does it take to create a book design?
Once you have picked out your must-have images, we will then proceed with laying out the first draft. As your wedding day is a story, the narration typically follows the flow of the day. After we create the first draft, we will send it to you for review. You can substitute images, and change the order as well as the look of the layouts. We offer up to three full revisions before we charge a fee for our time.
